The law on affidavits in India is governed by Section 139, order XIX of the Code of Civil Procedure and Order XI of the Supreme Court Rules.
Affidavit is an oath taken by a person that he or she has stated nothing wrong, everything is correct to the best of their knowledge. It is a document of assurance, so it need to be signed by a person who is taking that oath. Signature on the bottom of the page is not necessary but person should signed it at the end of the page/affidavit..
It requires attestation ( the signature of the deponent of the affidavit) on each page is must.
