A startup accelerator is a kind of fixed business program that supports early stage startups to attain their growth objectives and helps them to scale through mentorship, education and financing etc. The Startups enter accelerators for a fixed time period, and they are provided with the resources for their development. In order to join an accelerator, the startups have to submit an application and after being accepted, the startup accelerator starts providing services including education, guest speakers, coworking space etc. The process culminates with a graduation day (also known as demo day), where the startups present their work and proceed independent of the accelerator. A startup accelerator is thus made up to accelerate the startup’s growth, and its role is fundamental to providing guidance and support to startups.
