Eligibility

  • Age Limit: Applicant must be a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 35 years in age. There are relaxations for which candidates can check the official notification.
  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized University in India.
  • Post Qualification Experience: Enrolled as Advocates with Bar Council, 4 years of experience as practicing Advocate or Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks or  4 years combined experience as practicing advocate and Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks. 

Pattern and syllabus

For the post of a law officer, candidates will be required to attempt 2 papers, which will have 170 questions in total.

Paper 1

There will be 70 questions from reasoning ability and 50 questions from the English Language. The time limit for this paper would be 90 minutes.

Paper 2

This will have questions topics related to law, with 50 questions to be solved in 45 minutes.

The topics for paper 2 would be Banking Regulated Laws, Banking Security Laws, Negotiable Instruments, Ethics and Corporate Governance in Banking, Financial Analysis, Banking Operational Laws, Banker-Customer Relations, Electronic Banking, Loans and Advances, Compliance and Legal Aspects, Security Types and Regulatory Frameworks, etc.
