Suvrajit Bhattacharyya is an experienced professional with over 3 years of experience in Learning & Development. He is presently working as a Learning Officer at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Kolkata.

He successfully completed the NUJS Executive Certificate Course in Sexual Harassment Prevention and Workplace Diversity and over here, he shares his course experience. Over to Suvrajit:

I have a master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, HR & Accounts from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and a master’s degree in Learning Sciences and Human Resources Development from Indian Society for Training & Development.

I currently work with Hyatt Regency Kolkata as a Learning Officer.  Prior to this, I worked with Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) as a Business Process Analyst in the asset management domain.

My current role at Hyatt involves taking care of the learning and development for the entire organization, be it classroom training, online training or on the job training.

In our training, there is a particular segment on sexual harassment and I wanted to have a thorough knowledge of this domain.

I was looking for a course which would help me in this and I came across an advertisement of NUJS Executive Certificate Course in Sexual Harassment Prevention and Workplace Diversity. It was bang on and I decided to enroll for the course.

Since this course has the NUJS backing when you tell people that you have done this course, it gets you instant recognition and people look up to you

The course content is really good and practical, with lots of case studies and examples. After this course my knowledge about the Sexual Harassment Laws is not superficial, I have in-depth knowledge of the subject and I can apply this knowledge to my work.

Now, when I take a session on this subject, I can get into the nitty gritty and explain the concept. I have a hold on the subject.

This course has made me more knowledgeable, confident and most importantly; aware of what to say and what not to when dealing with these cases.

I would strongly recommend this course to anyone in Human Resource or in the Learning and Development department of any organization.
